CLAIM: New Mom Mariah Carey Headed for “Breakdown”

“Motherhood is making Mariah Carey loopy!” reports the National Enquirer in a piece titled “SCARY CAREY.”

The mag says Carey’s recent “bizarre” appearance on the Home Shopping Network “has some people thinking she could be headed for another breakdown.”

In the segment, the new mom supposedly “spouted weird made-up words, spoke in a fake British accent, and claimed her pregnancy lasted 47 weeks – almost 11 months!”

A so-called “insider” says, “Motherhood is taking a huge toll on Mariah,” adding that the pressure of being a mom along with juggling her career “is driving her batty!”

No, it’s actually not.

Carey’s spot on HSN was amusing and candid, and a rep for the singer explains, “She was having fun with her fans!”

The rep tells Gossip Cop that Carey is doing great, and calls the Enquirer‘s story “completely made up.”

    the rags will always have a target on mariah’s back but they can’t take away her success,millions or beauty. she is happy and in love and its about time she had her little happy ending. now with kids lets just hope she will wear more form fitting clothes at least.

    shut the hell up the press has always had it out for Mariah and always will. She wasn’t crazy at all on HSN last week she was tired from taking care of her babies with very little help from the newly hired nannies. Most stars have nannies and have for decades it’s not a new phenomenon at all though some actually admit feeling guilty about using nannies to help care for thir children and Mariah seems like the type that would say those type of things when Roc N Roe are older just as Vanessa Redgrave & Joanne Woodward have before her. but at least Roc N Roe won’t call their nannies mom like Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitts kids do and they’ll be closer to Mariah because she’s nursing them as Woodward & Redgrave both did back in the day with the six children they had between them Nell Lissy Natasha Joely Clea & Carlo

    It’s called a little bit of post partum depression… God forbid a 42-year-old woman who just gave birth to twins be a bit frazzled! This is so ridiculous… these kids are the best thing that has happened to her in several years!
