Mariah Carey And James Packer NOT Having Babies, Despite Report
Mariah Carey and James Packer are not starting a family together, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can correct this claim. The couple has no interest in having more babies.
According to a highly inaccurate Life & Style story, Carey is “dreaming of giving her 4-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, a sibling.” A so-called source tells the tabloid, “Mariah and James are fast-tracking a wedding because they want a family of their very own.” The magazine’s supposed source claims that Carey and Packer, who already has three kids, “have been discussing different methods and options, like a surrogate or even adoption.”
The tabloid’s alleged “source” adds that Carey had a “extremely difficult pregnancy with her twins and is leaning toward a surrogate.” Following some filler about Carey wanting an “intimate wedding,” the same ill-informed “source” says, “She wants just a special moment with her closest friends and family, and she’s even more excited to soon welcome a baby with her new husband.”
It’s stories like this that confound Gossip Cop. Despite the tabloid writing about how “excited” Carey is to expand her family, and claiming it could be via “a surrogate or even adoption,” the 45-year-old singer says she’s done having babies. In fact, she recently told The Lowdown she’s not having more kids with Packer, and that Moroccan and Monroe “would be so jealous because they get upset when I pet the dog.”
This isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting about the “Always be My Baby” singer. In July, well before she got engaged, the magazine reported that Carey’s estranged husband Nick Cannon was “pissed” that Packer was spending time with his twins. But as Gossip Cop noted back then, Cannon had no problem with it, and the outlet’s story was entirely false.
