Mariah Carey Making Ridiculous ‘Diva Demands’ on American Idol?

According to Star magazine, “The ink has barely dried on Mariah Carey’s American Idol contract, but the new judge isn’t shy about telling the producers exactly what she requires… starting with an $18 million a year salary!”

Um, we’re not sure how Star thinks these things work, but salary is usually determined before a contract is signed.

And the tabloid says it’s not just money Carey craves.

The singer is “dead set on looking better than her predecessor” Jennifer Lopez, alleges the magazine.

A so-called “source” tells the tab, “J. Lo showed up week after week in some pretty amazing outfits, and Mariah wants to make sure that hers are better.”

Star’s “insiders” say Carey’s must-have list includes a “dressing room fit for a queen” and a play space with organic baby beds for her 15-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe to spend time with her husband Nick Cannon during the show.

The mag really should have stuck to Carey’s salary — because whenever Star strays into grandiose claims about her family life, it tends to be completely wrong.

That’s the case with these alleged “diva demands” for “Idol.”

A rep for Carey tells Gossip Cop the Star story is “totally absurd.”

    I don’t believe this for a second and the tabs have always hated Mariah anyway so they’ll say outlandish things about her to peak peoples interest. as a beloved oscar winner once said tabloids aren’t worth using as bird cage liner

    Carey has got to be among the most plastic, superficial entertainers ever. She dresses like a fat hooker, has an ugly face but thinks she is a great beauty, and can’t seem to find clothes to wear in public that will prevent her mammaries from flopping out , her fat ass crack and camel toe from showing. I’ve never heard her sing that I can recall, but I think she looks like a sleaze bag.

    @Hollywoody5000 You are so nasty Mariah isn’t ugly by a longshot and so what if she has breast implants most women in modern day hollywood do. at least she has the credentials to be a good judge she’s been in the business for more than 2 decades. most entertainmers look like as you put it sleaze bags on stage/screen so whats the big deal if you don’t like her don’t comment on articles about her and you obviously have no clue how hollywood works nor what the word Diva actually means
