Maria Shriver on Arnold Bombshell: “Painful and Heartbreaking”

Maria Shriver has spoken for the first time since news broke that her estranged husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, fathered a child with a member of their household staff.

“This is a painful and heartbreaking time,” says Shriver in a statement.

“As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment,” adds Shriver.

Last week, Shriver and Schwarzenegger separated after 25 years of marriage.

    None of this can possibly be a “surprise” to Maria! If it is then she’s dumb as a dog and blind as a bat. Her husband has been cheating on her for most of their marriage and rumors about this love child have been around since before he was governor. She defended him then and every other time anybody dared to call him a cheater. Don’t beg for privacy now Maria, it’s too late!! You should have left this hounddog years ago but you loved the power he gave you in Hollywood and later as governor. You deserve what you’re getting and so does he.
