Maria Shriver Files for Divorce From Arnold Schwarzenegger

Maria Shriver has filed for divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger in the wake of the bombshell revelation that he fathered a child out of wedlock.

She cites “irreconcilable differences” in the petition.

Shriver is asking for joint custody of the couple’s two minor sons, Patrick and Christopher. She’s also requesting spousal support.

The couple reportedly has no prenuptial agreement; therefore, Shriver and Schwarzenegger’s assets will be split 50/50 under California law.

They separated in May after 25 years of marriage.

It subsequently came out that Schwarzenegger had a love child with household staffer Mildred Baena.

    She was charitable in citing “irreconcilable differences”. As I understand it – and I’m probably wrong about this – you have to PROVE adultery. She can by his own admission. Still, despite everything this could not have been an easy decision. I would have done the same thing though. How can you stay in a relationship – committed to someone — when you know they do not feel the same for you? Now maybe she can find someone she can love and who loves her.

    Kudos to you Maria. Like I know you personally. Yet I do believe you deserve praise for throwing out, ie divorcing your lout of a soon to be ex husband for shtuping to conquer your homeworker, getting her with child.
