Dancing with the Stars Finalists Revealed After HUGE Elimination Shocker (VIDEO)

The three couples headed into next week’s “Dancing with the Stars” finale were revealed on Tuesday.

But first, one of the four remaining pairs had to be eliminated from the competition.

Maria Menounos & Derek Hough were shockingly sent home, after earning the lowest combined score based on viewers’ votes and the judges’ points.

The couple seemed to take the news well, even though they were consistently the frontrunners all season.

Donald Driver & Peta Murgatroyd, William Levy & Cheryl Burke, and Katherine Jenkins & Mark Ballas will compete in the finale.

Jenkins, who injured herself during the end of her second dance on Monday’s show, was deemed well enough to continue her quest for the Mirror Ball trophy.

    I am no longer watching DWTS!! Maria was all around the best competitor. She had technique AND personality, something the rest didn’t.

    They all are good dancers. I don’t particular think Maria was the best. I think Katherine is great and I want and hope she wins. I think William will win though.

    Derek is easily the best professional, both as a dancer and choreographer. Maria was excellent, but not in the same league as Katherine. Surprised that Derek’s skill and popularity didn’t carry them through. I would have to think it’s between William and Katherine now because, as good as Donald is, more women will favor William. The judges’ voting is always so close at the end that the viewers will make all the difference. Remember Shawn over Gilles, the Osmonds’ undeserved success and the ridiculous season-long voting for Bristol Palin?

    Yes, but Maria brought something special to her dancing: personality. She exectued every dance with poise and grace and beauty. I do see your point though, I will miss them though :(

    I think some Maria’s votes went to Kathrine today as sympathy votes. Because yesterday Maria was better IMO then Katherine.I do think that all those angry over Maria’s leave will gather for next week and will choose Katherine because they dont want to see William and Donald (those with lesser talent) win.

    I am so sorry to see this show become a hoax. Instead of the very best dancing, it appears the fan base prevails in the voting. Also, one can count on Len always to be the odd man out in his judging. It really has become a joke, imo.

    I’d just found something out about the dancing with the stars results and maria and Derek will no longer competing. I didn’t get to watch it on tv. I’d just saw it on my computer.

    I do think if Katherine didn’t hurt herself see would have left home but people probably called because thu felt bad shit I know I would but I do have to say I think William is great not Gunna lie he’s the I ly reason I Evan watch the d show but because dwts needs some Latin flavor to spice it up

    Do you really believe that’s the reason why Katherine was saved, because she hurt herself? Have you watched the entire season to see how good she is? She has done great from day 1. She really is the better dancer, but I do think William will win.

    I really hope people do not blame Katherine. If Katherine was a bad dancer, I could understand the outrage but that is not the case. Her dance would have gotten a perfect 10 if she didn’t have the misstep at the end, yes at the very end.

    Maria & Derek were the BEST! Their choreography and dances so creative and executed perfectly. I can’t believe they were eliminated I’m disgusted with DWTS. It’s nothing but a fan popularity contest and has nothing to do with the best performers.

    He should have been sent home within the first 3 weeks. Bruno and Carrie both overrated his performances (and still do) and the manaical women vote for Kuba-boy because he is a pretty face.

    I had been on the tipping point about watching this show any longer. The insane scores that the judges have given to miserable performances is beyond belief. This years contest should have been between Kathrine and Maria. But now the Cuban Fabio will win because women think he is “to die for”. He should have left in the first 3 weeks of this season.

    Yes, bruno and carrieann went wild for him the entire season. Bruno gave him a ten a few weeks ago and he had stumbled. Yet Katherine’s dance was great until the end and she didn’t get a ten.

    I do like William and he’s a good dancer but Katherine is better.

    it’s not about being fixed. the show is more a popularity contest for the most part. the dancing is only part of it, the other part is how big your fan base or if you have a story that catches the audiences attention. you’ll notice usually the ones that don’t have a big fan base will be the first gone regardless of how they dance.

    Why wasn’t there the newly implemented dance-off when it REALLY mattered and judges have the last say? Relying on fickle fans or open phone lines is a ruse. Maria would have kicked the super bowl wooden soldier’s culo, but if not, at least I wouldn’t feel like I was played by ABC. Not watching the finals.

    You “guys out there in TVLand” sure are jealous of William, aren’t you? Just like Gilles Marini! But people who say William should have been eliminated weeks ago certainly don’t know anything about ballroom dancing! William is a terrific dancer! No one on that show can top his Latin dances….he’s just got it! The rhythm, the body motion, and the footwork. And I didn’t vote for him….I voted for Derek and Maria!

    I agree with Isabella, they wasted the dance off earlier in the season when it didn’t really matter. All of them eventually were eliminated anyway. I’d like to see the couple with the highest score have immunity on the next show right up to the final.

    William is horrible and is only still on because of women who drool and scream every time he takes his shirt off (which is every single dance).
