Margo Price Performs “Since You Put Me Down” On ‘SNL’ – WATCH VIDEO
Margo Price performed “Since You Put Me Down” on this week’s “SNL.” The song is off her new album Midwest Farmer’s Daughter. For her first song, Price performed “Hurtin’ On The Bottle” On Saturday Night Live.” See the video below of Margo Price’s performance of “Since You Put Me Down.”
The slow tempo “Since You Put Me Down,” much like Price’s other songs, deals with getting back at men and mentions alcohol. She sings, at one point, “”I killed the angel on the shoulder with a handle of tequila.” The song is the fourth track off her new album, but was actually released two years ago.
Price is the first country artist to have an album released by Jack White’s Third Man Records. Midwest Farmer’s Daughter recently made Billboard history when it debuted on its Country Albums chart at number 10. No other female artist has scored a top 10 position with her debut album, having never even had a song land on the Hot Country Songs chart.
As Gossip Cop noted, this marks Price’s debut on “SNL.” After performing on “Saturday Night Live,” she has upcoming concerts in April in Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia before heading to England. In May, Price is slated for three performances at different venues in London, as well as headlining The Great Escape Festival in Brighton.
