Mama June Accuses TLC Of Covering Up Josh Duggar’s Past: They “Kept It Quiet”
“Mama June” Shannon is not happy TLC didn’t cancel “19 Kids & Counting,” and accuses the network of covering up Josh Duggar’s past. As Gossip Cop reported, Duggar apologized on Thursday after reports surfaced claiming he sexually assaulted five girls, some of whom may be his sisters.
In a statement on Friday, TLC announced it had “pulled all episodes of ’19 Kids and Counting’ currently from air,” but had not made a decision about the fate of the show. Mama June told “Entertainment Tonight” she “felt cheated” by TLC. “I told them about everything from the get go. They knew the story. They sealed Anna [Caldwell’s] records because she was under 18,” said Mama June, referring to reports that she had rekindled a romance with Mark McDaniel, a convicted sex offender who allegedly assaulted her daughter.
The former “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star also accused TLC of hiding Duggar’s sexual assault past. “[TLC] knew about [Josh Duggar] since 2006 and didn’t do anything. They kept filming the show, but as soon as rumors started they cancelled ‘Honey Boo Boo’ quick. I think TLC kept it quiet. That happened with Anna and me. TLC covered it up.”
Mama June insists that if TLC doesn’t pull “19 Kids & Counting” completely off the air, she’s going to take the network to court. “I will be pissed,” said Mama June, adding, “And I do have grounds for going after them, for cancelling us and wrongfully firing us and not them.” Tell us: What do you think of Mama June’s accusations against TLC?
