“Mama” June Shannon is speaking out after TLC cancelled her hit show, “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” following reports that she’s dating convicted child molester Mark McDaniel.

In the clip she posted to Facebook on Friday, Shannon attempts to clear up rumors surrounding her relationship with McDaniel, as well as her separation from Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson. She captioned the footage, “This a truth video and answering some of ya’ll questions over the last few months since we have had to stay quiet and hope this helps and a appreciation video to all our awesome fans over yrs.”

“Just got a phone call this morning from TLC, and as of right now there will be no more production of the show,” Shannon says in the clip. “The statement of me dating a sex offender is totally untrue. Pumpkin [Shannon’s daughter Lauryn] has openly said that I am not dating him and also his son.” She notes, “I would not ever put my kids in danger. I love my kids too much. That is is my past. I have not seen that person in 10 years and don’t seem to want to see that person.”

Shannon goes on to thank the show’s fans for their love and support over the years. She says the experience has been “awesome,” adding that her “girls have been able to do things that they would not have normally been able to do” because of the show. She notes they will still be doing their annual Christmas display, and will continue to share updates about their lives.

The family matriarch also addresses her recent split with her husband, saying, “Me and Sugar really have broke up, but we are friends and we have stayed civil. We are better off friends than we were a couple. We actually came to notice that.” Shannon continues, “Things happen for a reason in life. You live and learn. The fan page has stayed quiet for a while because TLC has kind of told us to hush hush. But that is pretty much what is going on. We will update later on. We wanted to let you know from the bottom of our hearts that we actually love ya’ll.”

As Gossip Cop reported, TLC did not believe Shannon’s denial and cancelled the show because the network felt her involvement with McDaniel, with whom she was photographed inside a hotel room, was putting her children at risk. TLC’s concern grew out of the fact that McDaniel, who was released from prison in March, served 10 years behind bars for forcing an 8-year-old to perform oral sex. Shannon was allegedly dating McDaniel at the time he molested the child, who is related to her. McDaniel is now a registered sex offender in Georgia. TLC has decided to not air the new season of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” even though the entire season was already filmed.
