Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Amber Rose ‘DWTS’ Elimination Interview On ‘GMA’ (VIDEO)
As Gossip Cop reported, Rose and Chmerkovskiy were eliminated from “DWTS” at the end of Monday’s episode. While both stars were then expected to hop on a flight to New York to appear on “Good Morning America” live, neither made the trip. Instead, Chmerkovskiy did a satellite interview while Rose was surprisingly MIA.
Rose’s absence wasn’t discussed, but the pro dancer spoke fondly of working with her. “I personally didn’t know who this person was. I knew of her. I knew the same of people reading tabloids and stuff,” Chmerkovskiy explained. “But one of the beautiful things about the show is you get to find out who the personally really is.”
He continued, “I was surprised to find out she’s just so chill and down to earth. I was expecting some kind of Internet vixen personality, and it’s far from the truth.” He went on to say, “I was very proud of Amber… Everything that I asked her for, she did. I pushed a lot. She tried to push back, just naturally.”
“I think we came out with a great season. She’s gonna have a couple of beautiful dances to look back and be proud of,” added the ballroom veteran. Chmerkovskiy also confirmed he won’t be returning to the dance floor next season, as he’ll be focused on first-time fatherhood with fiancée Peta Murgatroyd. “I am ready,” he said confidently.
And although Rose didn’t join her partner live on “GMA,” she did speak with ABC after last night’s results. “I think a lot of people assume I’m a certain way, and I’m glad people had the opportunity to see me in a different light,” she said. “I’m an activist. I’m a feminist. I’m a mom. I’m forever gonna be a down-home Philly girl.”
Rose went on to say of the competition, “It’s not easy. It’s extremely hard, but it was a lot of fun and I’m glad that I did it.” Check out the full video below.
