Madonna Women’s March Video: “I Thought About Blowing Up White House”
Madonna was a surprise speaker at the Women’s March on Saturday, where she admitted she’s “thought about blowing up the White House.” Watch below.
Madonna wasn’t previously announced as one of the official participants for the Women’s March On Washington. But nearly five hours into the rally, Amy Schumer came out to announce her. And the singer brought a prepared speech with her, passionately reading off of note cards as she address the large crowd.
Madonna said of Trump’s presidency, “It took this horrific moment of darkness to wake us the f*ck up. It seems we all slipped into a false sense of comfort, that justice would prevail and that good would win in the end. Well, good did not win this election. But good will in the end. So, what today means is that we are far from the end. Today marks the beginning, the beginning of our story. The revolution starts here.”
“To our detractors that insist that this march will never add up to anything,” she went on to announce, “F*ck you! F*ck you!” The superstar then admitted, “Yes, I’m angry. Yes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House, but I know that this won’t change anything. We cannot fall into despair.”
Instead, Madonna encouraged everyone to “choose love.” Following her speech, she sang “Express Yourself, and then said she would perform another track aimed at a certain someone. “I can’t even say his name. This song is dedicated to the new DT in the White House,” she told the thousands watching, adding, “‘D’ could stand for ‘d*ck,’ I don’t know.”
With that, she launched into “Human Nature,” ad-libbing at one point, “Donald Trump, suck my d*ck.” Check out the videos below, including speeches and performances from Alicia Keys and Janelle Monae. And click to see celebrity photos, tweets and more video from the Women’s March.
