Busting bad dish!

Madonna Thanks Nazi Propagandist in Controversial New Movie

(GettyImages)

Madonna might have more trouble on her hands with her new film W.E. than just bad reviews.

The film, about the romance between Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII, has been panned for whitewashing its subjects’ historical ties to Nazi Germany.

What’s more, it’s now being noted that in the end credits Madonna thanks Nazi propagandist Leni Riefenstahl and anti-Semitic fashion designer John Galliano.

Critics who saw the movie’s Venice Film Festival premiere are scratching their heads over the acknowledgments.

While Madonna’s gratitude for Riefenstahl as a filmmaker and Galliano as a designer have nothing to do with their respective political leanings, deciding to include them in the credits of a movie conspicuously blind to Nazi sympathies strikes many observers as… odd.

What do you think?

I don’t erstand what the big deal is! John Galliano made a joke abt the jews, if he made a joke abt any other religion wud he have been treated the way he was ? No? Enough with the oversensitivity ! And so what if she thanked a Nazi supporter. Everyone is free to thank and be who they want to be (as long a its not violenting them or others) – so what’s everyones problem? “Land of the free” – is it really?!

This Madonna whore ought to know by now that the Hollywood film industry and the multimedia/entertainment industries are disproportionately managed by Jewish Americans and Jewish Europeans (in executive positions as producers, heads, etc), and they will outrank your ass if there is even a whiff of overt or covert anti-semitism. It’s not a conspiracy. It’s just the way these industries have come to be culturally constructed. Blazow!

  • You know…

1- It was in Venice. That would be Italy, not “The Land of the Free”.
2-Galliano did not “make a joke about the jews” he said he loved Hitler and praised the man’s leadership. What he said was actually so outrageous and offensive that he was arrested. This is not oversensitivity, this is a seriously scary thing that people still think that way not. Get your facts straight.
3-Madonna converted to Judaism. A Jewish woman glossing over such an important and historically significant detail about a character in order to make money on a movie is hypocritical and sad. Glossing over that fact, and also including the tidbit that she deals with people who are antisemitic by thanking them in the credits is like a slap in the face to me and every other Jewish person I know that she was ever considered worthy of studying from our Torah.

Also, you come across as a moron when you leave typos in a posting. Get spell check.

The movie is getting terrible reviews. The whole thing is strange, I could get saying Leni Riefensthal was an influence on her directing style. But thanking her and John Galliano is just off the wall. Publicity stunt.

I would think this was a publicity stunt on Madonna’s part, except that Madonna isn’t that smart!! She knows that Leni Riefensthal was a director but I bet she has no clue what a controversial figure this woman was. Madonna just wanted to thank a producer who is a woman and picked Leni. HA!! She’s stupid.

As for Galliano, I’m sure she knows how hateful he is but, hey, he’s an ARTIST so she adores him.

Personally, I think the worse thing about this movie is that recently a box of letters was discovered from Wallis to her second husband (Simpson) where she writes about how much she doesn’t want to marry the King and how much she wishes she could return to her husband. She thought Edward was dumb and dull and called him “Peter Pan” because he didn’t want to grow up. When Wallis tried to leave him he cried and threaten to commit suicide. This was not a love story. So this movie is already out of date. People should just stop talking about it and let it fade away to nothingness where it belongs.

    Idiot.

  • filolog

Why? You don’t agree that she is a whore? I also think it’s very rude.

  • filolog

1 – is Italy the country of unfreedom?
2 – Galliano was arrested for another scandal in the cafe, the video was made about six months before the event. Soon, the court will issue its verdict. And then we can talk about his guilt.
3 – Leni Riefenstahl and John Galliano is genius artists. In spite of everything, they had an enormous influence on European art. Perhaps this is the cause of her gratitude.

Sorry for the grammatical errors. English is not my native language.

When it came to John Galliano’s disgusting behaviour , Natalie Portman didn’t waste ANY time in kicking him to the curb because she has values, class and morality. “Wallis Simpson’s racism towards people of colour and anti-Semitism is not “open to interpretation” nor is it “defensible” nor should the falsely touted “envelope pusher of the century” have erased it in her vanity project aka W.E. What a coward madonna is. W.E. was no victim. History has been very fair to who she was. No one need check the veracity of the irrefutable fact that she was a true fascist and was 100% pro Hitler. Leni is an overrated/average talent film-maker and is currently a perennial sacred cow of the Right/Libertarian under stated radical chic that people like Madonna, Ann Coulter, Camille Paglia and Jodie Foster trade off of.

Leni Riefenstahl never truly renounced Hitler, she simply sued people who made claims about her involvement. She once said her only regret about her Nazi party propaganda films was that people kept saying , ‘Leni is a Nazi’, and I’ll keep saying, ‘But what did she do?’ Talking about yourself in third party is a total narcissist trait. Sound familiar?

  • Riem

Just because she thanked the two doesn’t mean she liked them or supported their ideas.
Maybe she was mocking them or maybe it is somehow linked to the movie. Maybe she gave them credit for their talent or work regardless of their ideology. This shows more tolerance than most commentators
Even if she were a Nazi sympathizer, I doubt she would be that dumb to

That Madonna is the kind of whore whose mouth is full of sores; the kind of whore who steals used tampons; the kind of whore who would allow a bulldozer to penetrate her just because the darn thing thrusts forward; the kind of whore who sucks on cough drops so damn hard that her whole fat, plastic surgeried face prunes up; she a whore whore whore whore whore and I could say more more more more more more more, but blazow!
