Madonna Strips for Hurricane Sandy Relief

Madonna has spent decades baring her skin, but rarely for such a good cause.

The Material Girl stripped for Hurricane Sandy relief donations at her Madison Square Garden concert in New York on Monday, after having visited the city’s devastated Rockaways area.

On stage, Madonna described her trip to the community, reflecting on the “really sad” circumstances and the “amazing acts of humanity” she witnessed there (see video below).

“Why do we always have to wait until a catastrophe happens to show this kind of love and compassion?” wondered the pop star.

To show her support and raise funds, Madonna later did some stripping during “Like A Virgin,” telling the audience to toss money on stage.

She explained, “This money is not for me. We are collecting money for victims of Hurricane Sandy, so please feel free to be generous as I freeze my a** off up here for you.”

    Couldn’t she simply have representatives from the Salvation Army or Red Cross collecting at the doors??? Why must every “good” deed she purports to do involve her baring her 54 year old body to concert goers???? She can’t even let go of the ego long enough to plug relief support that doesn’t involve porn. Let me tell you, honey, you and I are the same age and ain’t nobody wants to see us naked … nor should they be forced to do so because they paid an exhorbitant amount to hear you sing. Sing – not strip. Not bare your breasts or yank up your skirt, whatever. Leave it all covered, please! Your days of rolling across the stage sans panties with your Like a Virgin bridal gown up around your shoulders are looooooonnnnnnggggg over. Please don’t make us remind you of this again.
