How does telethon work in The States? ie, the one who host opens it with an amount of money and then everyone puts in? Or there is no initial donation? Because I know in some countries it goes the second way instead of the usual first... So, just wondering how much would George Clooney open it with...? Kudos to everyone who has donated from Gisele (1.5M) till those who have texted ($5), those who have given food, water, clothes, blood... and of course all the volunteers too!
