Madonna Explains Relationship with 24-Year-Old Brahim Zaibat (VIDEO)

Madonna opened up about her relationship with 24-year-old Brahim Zaibat for the first time on Thursday’s “Nightline.”

The pop icon said she didn’t “choose… to have a relationship with a younger man.”

“That’s just what happened,” she explained to anchor Cynthia McFadden. “You see, that’s the romantic in me. I just met someone that I cared for, and this happened to be his age.”

Madonna tried to downplay the couple’s nearly 30-year age difference, asking, “Aren’t people tired of that subject?”

“I don’t feel comfortable with this conversation,” she admitted when McFadden tried to press further.

Still, Madonna insisted she and Zaibat are a normal couple like any other.

“I go home and I wash my face and I put on my sweatpants and I lay down on the bed and I say, ‘oh, please rub my feet,’ and you know, he says, ‘no, you rub my feet,’” she explained. “So, you know, behind the curtain, I’m just like everybody else.”

Madonna, who split from ex-husband Guy Ritchie in 2008, also admitted she misses “certain things” about being married.

    Yes, Madge Dearie, except this is like the 4th or 5th time you “didn’t choose” a younger guy. LOL! Nothing against it. Guys do it all the time and no one remarks much on it. Let’s just be honest. You prefer screwing young guys. Who wouldn’t.

    People shouldn’t be reduced to their age, gender, appearance or social class. I certainly am not saying that this is “true love” but as I see many, many relationships between partners who are supposedly compatible, crash and burn, and leave scars, I am not inclined to write one off because of a disparity in age.

    It’s not vile to suggest that somebody closer to his own age under the same roof could have more appeal to this boy toy than an aging but wealthy singer. It’s the disparity in income that he’s interested in. This isn’t Ashton Kuchner and Demi Moore.
