They are right. I appreciate her trying to help but I think because people see the poverty in Africa that they can go in and do as they please. Africa has so many natural resources, resources that would make many well off or at least able to survive. If the countries in Africa built governments around the people and if they utilized their resources and their man power, there would be no stopping them. They wouldn’t need people to come to their aid because they would have it covered.

Apparently you are missing the point and didn’t read the post. She promised a girls school and then backed out without telling the Government. Then again with out speaking to the Government she is saying she will build 10 more. Obvisously they are mad that she would just annouce that without speaking to them. In any country you can’t just build you have to go through the proper channels. Plus, she didn’t say anything about houses the article clearly says schools.

Madonna did not give any of her own money to Malawi, Madonnas Kaballah people used Madonnas name and image to raise the money. They raised over 240million using Malawi childrens poor faces, they claimed to have raised 18million, of that amount they claim to have spent 3.8million on the Malawi project, but only 800,000 reached Malawi. The rest of the money was spent in Los Angeles at the Kaballah Center. Madonna has now closed all her projects in Malawi including the Kaballah project success for kids SKF. She now as a goodbye handshake wants to build 10 schools all together total 300.000US$ where will the rest of the money raised on behalf of orphans go? Madonna wants to keep the millions raised for the Malawi project and only send 300,000US$ to build village schools. She has not consulted the Malawi government. Here in Michigan, her brother is sleeping under a bridge because Madonna refuses to help her, God help those Malawian children she adopted, now that the love affair between Malawi and Madonna has ended badly what will happen to those children? They are no longer sexy, mama failed to be Oprah and failed to be Angelina Jolie.

ITA that the educational system here in the USA needs overhauling before these celebrities go helping people on other continents. How about donating computers, or money to the thousands of schools that need it here at home? I work in an inner city school and there is one computer room and all the teachers have to compete with eachother to use it. These kids don’t all have access to the internet or even a computer at home. There are millions of kids who won’t get to take advantage of the great educational tools that technology provides because of their lack of funds. Our kids are drowning here and these rich and famous “humanitarians” are worried about the kids over seas. SMH…
