Madonna Sustains Injuries While Rehearsing for World Tour (PHOTOS)

Madonna appears to be literally pouring her blood, sweat and tears into the rehearsals for her upcoming world tour.

The singer, who is preparing to set out on the road in May, posted photos on Facebook showing some of the significant injuries she’s sustained during rehearsals.

One shot shows Madonna with a fat, cut lip, which she wrote happened as she practiced a routine to her latest single, “Girl Gone Wild.”

She also posted a pic of another injury, which the pop icon described as a “heart shaped bruise on my a**.”

While we’re sure Madge’s fans appreciate that she’s working so hard, Gossip Cop hopes she’ll be a little more careful in the future.

    I think when you get a certain age, touring should stop. Maybe book some performances with a lot of weeks between. Your body cannot take what it took when you were younger.

    Ummm really? Is that what celebs call MAJOR injuries? I get that working in my yard getting my landscaping ready for the spring. Seriously….that’s just silly. OMG if she breaks a nail does she consider herself an amputee? Last time I checked MAJOR injuries required a hospital visit and possibly a overnight stay. This makes me feel the same way I did when Cheryl Crow said she just had to take a break because she worked a whole four months straight. She was just so exhausted. Shit I’ve worked a whole 20+years straight. These people need to live in the real world. *SMH*

    She needs more potassium I know it packs on pounds but then you wouldn’t get bruises while practicing and remember not all dancers just fall they are dropped by there co-dancers I know Been There Done that….

    my mom’s doctor put her on Potassium and now she has renal failure and could die if she gets a gram more of that damned stuff! YOU CAN OVERDOSE SOMEONE ON POTASSUM PEOPLE IT IS NOT A CURE ALL IN FACT IT CAN KILL YOU

    The woman is a star and all I hear is people trashing her. I don’t get it, she practically invented pop music and everyone is trashing her. She will not quit performing and few here have her stamina and strength. I am sure she gets injured all the time and that is what happens when you work hard. She is worth about 650 million so she definitely is not doing it for the money.

    It is impossible to take too much potassium with normal kidney function as long as you are not taking another contraindicated drug. . I suspect she was on some medication that caused her to retain potassium.
