Madonna NOT Adopting Baby Boy To Get Over Rocco Custody Battle, Despite Report
Madonna is NOT adopting a baby boy to help ease the distress caused by her custody battle over 15-year-old son Rocco, despite a phony tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story. We’re told it’s “not true.”
As Gossip Cop has reported, Madonna and ex-husband Guy Ritchie have been engaged in an international custody battle since late last year. Their son Rocco insists on living with his dad in London, despite the singer obtaining a court order to legally force him to live with her in New York. As of now, Rocco remains with Richie in London and the case has yet to be settled.
Now, according to the National Enquirer, Madonna is so devastated by her son abandoning her that she plans to adopt a new one. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid that the singer has been visiting orphanages in the Philippines, and she’s allegedly “plowing forward with plans to adopt a baby boy from one of them.” The magazine’s dubious insider goes on to claim that the singer specifically wants a baby to “lessen the pain of losing Rocco.”
Despite the tabloid trying to not-so-subtly insinuate that Madonna believes her son is replaceable, Gossip Cop checked with a source close to Madonna, and we’re exclusively told the adoption claim is “not true.” Of course, the inaccuracy of the outlet’s report isn’t surprising. The Enquirer is the same magazine that Gossip Cop has repeatedly busted for claiming Madonna and Sean Penn were getting back together.
