I agree with all Lupe said about Obama, save for not voting. That said, he preformed the same 4 minute song over and over for 30 minutes, they allowed it the 1st few times (freedom of speech) but the crowd stopped feeling it and he was told by organizers to move on, he refused. They, rightfully removed him. He wasn’t paid for that type of performance.

Not the swearing in — the parties and such. No I didn’t because another president — was it Bush or Clinton? — waved the second inauguration ball, party, due to the economy. I just think that paying all the stars to perform, ordering cakes from “Ace of Cakes”, having concerts, parties, and designer gowns while people are out of work is a waste.

Why did they invite him in the first place? I don’t listen to his music, but obviously he’s not a fan of the president so why invite him to an inauguration event for him? Stupid promoters, but even then Lupe could have declined the invite knowing what it was for. I guess money talks and he used that to voice his opinion. Wrong place to do so. Dumb on both parts.

Lupe Fiasco is a pacifist. He has never concealed this fact or his critiques of Obama. Were the organizers stupid or were they trying to embarrass Obama? There is no way they could have been surprised by the fact that he would criticize the war during his performance.

It’s hard for me to believe that even after four years, people still believe Obama’s bullshit.
