(NBC)

Louis C.K. stars as Abraham Lincoln in a filmed “Saturday Night Live” sketch in which the president performs standup at a comedy club and jokes about slavery, his wife, and how he’ll be assassinated.

Lincoln jokes about talking to slave owners and explaining “that owning a person is not cool you stupid d*ck.”

And after a scene in which he argues with his wife about not having tickets to a play, he tells the audience at the standup club, “My wife is crazy… Literally, historically insane.”

But that’s not all.

Lincoln cracks that “someone is gonna murder me…I just know I’m totally getting murdered.”

He adds that he feels “bad for the detective who has to solve my murder,” because the possible suspects are “everyone from the middle of the country down.”

I love it that Louis C.K. hosted Saturday Night Live, and his “Lincoln” sketch was hilarious. I’ve been a fan of Louie and it was great to see how awkward life would be for Lincoln if he moonlighted as a standup comedian. I’ve seen this episode of SNL several times since I had it recorded on my Hopper from DISH. The huge mount of hard drive space on my DVR helps me keep up with shows when I work extra hours at DISH. I loved the awkward moment in the start of the sketch where Lincoln wanted acknowledgement from an ex-slave.
