Caution: The following report spread by Showbiz Spy goes very wrong, very quickly.
“Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are looking for a house in London!”
Yep, that’s the first line. We warned you!
“They’ve obviously changed their minds about the Isle of Wight then!”
That’s the second line from Showbiz Spy. Pattinson and Stewart “changed their minds” about what, exactly? The time the media floated news about them moving to an island where they vacationed, a completely empty rumor Gossip Cop busted twice? Pattinson and Stewart changed their minds about nothing. When it became apparent Isle of Wight talk was Wrong, outlets changed their minds.
But the third line is most telling: “Anyway!”
As in, “Anyway, who cares about facts?”
This way the site can quickly move on to the next Robsten rumor having set the following precedent: Anything published that winds up not happening can just be attributed to minds changing.
The latest story claims the “Twilight” stars are “looking to set up home in the British capital” to enable their families to become better acquainted.
Not true. None of the sources who spoke with Gossip Cop believed there was a single fact backing up the rumor of Robsten shacking up in London.
And since it’s an awfully thin story, it’s then padded with loose talk that Stewart and Pattinson have been “told to put their careers ahead of their red-hot romance.” “Everyone, from their management to the studios involved in their upcoming movies, is worried [Rob and Kristen] will start to become… distracted,” according to an E! Online item that raised eyebrows. The couple is still together, the narrative goes, but “got a slap on the wrist.”
Gossip Cop has talked with people connected to the Stewart and Pattinson industry hierarchy, and it simply isn’t true that the studio or anyone else has a say in their personal lives.
To repeat a point we’ve made often: Let’s leave status reports on Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, and without some of the disturbing strategies employed before.

SO GC, you’re saying that what Ted and Delaney are reporting about the pressure on Rob and Kristen isn’t true? Because that statement in your second-to-last paragraph is a direct contradiction. With all due respect, I think if their management and Summit are interfering, they wouldn’t want to broadcast it.
I think the Twighlight movie makers would want them to date each other. Can you imagine the twighlight fan reaction if Rob stepped out with a girlfriend ? All hell would break loose.
Imagine the Twilight mania if Rob stepped out with ANOTHER WOMAN. I mean these people can’t bear to see Rob with any one other than Kristen. You can’t expect Kristen to be attached to his hip 24/7. I think it’s Summit that is selling off Robsten to sell off tickets. Look at New Moon. It got hype like non other and the Robsten speculation was the craziest thing I’ve seen in years.
So GC you are basically saying that they don’t have plans to move to London and that neither the studio or their management has a say in their personal life. Correct? No surprise.
But you are confirming that they vacationed together on the island. And saying studio/managment has no say in their personal life doesn’t mean they have a say in their professional life, for example reminding them of their duties. Correct?
You are a bit vague this time, not slamming down e online, why?
Yesno and klue90 your assesment of Summits interest is totally wrong. If the studio has a “christmas” wish concerning Robsten, they would want it happen for the final part BD of Twilight, it is not in their interest now!!
And If you believe what GC is saying, that the studio doesn’t have a say in their personal life, this implies also that the studio cannot force them to spent their vaccation over NY together on a small island . Correct?
So what is your point??

Summit didn’t sell Robsten during New Moon. It was the opposite. At the press conference both actors slapped the “Robsten-shippers” in the face. At the press conference in LA Stewart/Pattionson said that fans cannot make difference between Edward/Bella and real life, that they understand why people want them to be together and that people are too invested in their personal lifes, that finally they don’t care if people think they are together or not…. And they didn’t even appear on the red carpet together, which made the “Robsten”-fans not happy at all.
Where did you see the selling of tickets?
So if you are hinting that “Robsten” appears now as “Robsten” because of the studio interest, you are probably wrong. I am only thinking logically.

A single Rob is a sellable Rob, plain and simple. Yes there is a big following for Kristen and Rob but that doesn’t mean his management want people to see it outside of work. Penelope is absolutely right. They can’t tell them what to do on their personal time but they can guide them during promotion.
You do realize not one person would have known where they were over the Holidays if it had not been for one little girl. They are happy to be private but management and Summit profit from their relationship (happy during promotions, for the speculation) Unhappy when people know they are together outside of work.
Pene, I don’t know why you’ve directed your post @ me cause I don’t care if Rob and Kristen are dating each other or not. I just think it’s hard to believe the studio would NOT want them together. it’s free publicity for their movie.

I understand that you don’t care if Rob and Kristen, which is fine, but that was not my point. I was referring to your comment on Summits interest. I am a marketing professional from my heart, so let’s step in the shoes of the studio for a moment.
Of course speculation if the lead actors fall in love in “reality” it is always free publicity. Why do you think it happens in HW all the time before a movie release?
But this is different .
There was so much hype on “Robsten” before NM that it overshadowed the whole movie/franchise. The media, fans, everyone just wanted to know: are they or not. Everything that came out, interview of cast, picture or whatever was questioned if it might give an answer. It was out of control. People seemed to be not interested in the movie/trailors anymore. So they did everything possible to take it a notch down. Pushing Kristen/Taylor, no red carpet at the VMAS, no Rob and Kristen in the same picture…only Kristen and Taylor red carpet New Moon.
And New Moon didn’t need the support of “Robsten” in the first place. The second one in a franchise is always the strongest, when people naturally want “more”. The last one, Breaking Dawn when interest is fading, that is a different story.
And the franchise will take at least till 2011. So faking this relationship for at least 2 years? And Remember Me with a different co-star. For Summit at this point it didn’t make sense. Of course it generated a lot of publicity and New Moon performed great, but it was a risky buisness, they were very nervous and still are. So I doubt Robsten was made up by Summit during New Moon. And for Robs Management: He is far more worth as a single, they get a good deal of his earnings, so they have naturally (and I am not judging this, it is business) more interest in a single Robert. That is what I am saying.
And my take on “Robsten”. They both seem to be lovely. But there is already written an “ocean of words about them”. I don’t want to comment. And I hope whatever others say will not change anything in their relationship. You can have an opinion on their relationship but you can keep it to yourself. I think at least Kristen Stewart would agree with that.

I do not think Summit handle his actors, are the people who want to believe whatever you think is everything.
I support Rob in his new projects, i respect their privacy life.
GC is saying their management does not control their personal lives, for example tell them where to sleep, when to sleep, who to have dinner with etc. But of course they control their professional lives, that’s what they are paid to do.
Robert is busy making films, and Ms. Stewart is busy well she’s busy taking a short break from making films. Hopefully spending time with her family and not getting into trouble. I’m a year older than her and when I used to have nothing to do I’d get involved in the wrong crowds. But As i got older, 20 now ha! learned that sometimes being busy is the best remedy to that. I’m rambling on now s o bye!
I like Rob but i don’t like Kristen for some reason.
There I feel better, but they can live in a house in Idaho as far as I care cause it doesn’t matter where they live or where they go. I just can’t wait till all this Twilight stuff is over with then less of Rob and Kristen, but I do like Rob like I said.
