Lisa Whelchel, Facts of Life & Survivor Star, Divorces Husband of 24 Years

“Facts of Life” star Lisa Whelchel has divorced her husband of 24 years, pastor Steve Cauble.
The actress, who’s currently a contestant on “Survivor: Philippines,” quietly split from Cauble earlier this year.
Whelchel reveals, “The divorce was final on March 1, and [I] went out to be on ‘Survivor’ on March 10.”
“Going out to ‘Survivor’ was helpful for me, to divert my attention and not just dwell on the loss,” the actress tells People, adding, “It was painful to realize that [the marriage] wasn’t going to work out.”
Whelchel says she and Cauble, who have three grown children together, remain friends.
The former couple met at a Christian prayer group in 1986.
