Lisa Hochstein of “Real Housewives” Sues Commenter Over Prostitute, Porn Claims

Lisa Hochstein of “The Real Housewives of Miami” is reportedly suing an Internet commenter who falsely claimed she worked as a prostitute and did porn.

The reality star has sued a woman named Jessica Lederman for alleging that Hochstein “was an escort who also did soft porn in Vegas” as a response to an online article about Hochstein joining “Real Housewives.”

Hochstein says Lederman’s assertion is baseless, and that she suffered “severe emotional distress” and damage to her reputation, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

She’s seeking more than $15,000.

    If I believe that certain person behaves like a slut or prostitute why should I being sued to prove that she behave like one?!
    Is not this up to me to decide what I feel?!
    We have all different standards, so for instance, Holy sister has very different standart compare to standart of this woman.
    I don’t know this show, neither this woman, and I have never watch a single episode of this “reality show”, but I LOL at this suit! There is no way any judge will ever find guilty a commenter over their comment.
    Just laughable……

    Well if you make up stuff about people it is slander. The fact that celebrities don’t go after Internet commenters for this doesn’t change that. The bottom line is that if what that woman said isn’t true, she shouldn’t have said it. Having said that, going after an individual for one comment is more than a bit petty.

    It’s called slander and it’s been the law for decades that you can be sued if you publicly state something that isn’t true that would harm that person’s reputation. So yes, a judge could find this woman guilty of it. And the woman wasn’t accused of saying she thought the woman acted like a prostitute, that’s not slander, it’s an observation. She’s being sued because she spread a rumor that this reality star WAS a prostitute.
