Lindsay Lohan Rep: Truck Driver’s “Telling Tales” About Crash and Attempted Payoff

On Saturday, the truck driver into whose 18-wheeler Lindsay Lohan crashed her Porsche claimed the actress was “flying” down the Pacific Coast Highway when she collided with the back of his truck.

He also said in an interview with TMZ that Lohan and her passenger, her assistant Gavin Doyle, exited the car, and the actress then got into a Cadillac Escalade that had been trailing her car.

According to the trucker, the assistant and the driver of the Escalade allegedly attempted to smooth things over by him offering cash.

But Lohan’s rep is now slamming back at the allegations.

Her spokesman tells Gossip Cop: “Seems to me once he realized he wasn’t going to get anything from Lindsay he decided to get cash by telling tales to the tabloids. I hope he got whatever money he was looking for. Personally, all I care about is that Lindsay and Gavin are OK.”

    I do think that right now, and for a while to come, Lindsey will be easy target. And for that she should hire the driver. But even then, if driver would have gotten into the accident, I am sure the other side would feel free to get some cash from Lindsey!

    Like hell she wasn’t, she’s always under the influence. I don’t give a damn if she kills herself in a car crash, I’m just afraid she’s going to take an innocent person with her.

    She rear-ended him. 99.9% of the time, it’s the fault of the driver in the rear. She was probably tailgating him and couldn’t brake fast enough when he had to brake. Lindsay and her assistant are so full of crap.

    Easy target or not, Lindsey rear ended the truck – that makes her at fault and her insurance company will have to pay for the damages. The truck driver was not injured, and even if he was, Lindsey’s insurance company would compensate him for his injuries. Lindsey is paying him through her insurance, why would he think he’d be entitled to more than that? As far as Lindsey “flying down the highway”, she and her assistant would not have walked away from the car if that were true. She obviously didn’t bump him, her car was totaled, but its equally obvious this guy is exaggerating big time. It is good that no one was injured seriously, including the truck driver (note to Lindsey’s rep: You just said what matters is that Lindsey and her assistant weren’t injured. No matter how much this guy is trying to take advantage of your client, it doesn’t look good not to be thankful he wasn’t injured. Your client was at fault in the accident, after all.)

    I love how NOW she’s saying her brakes failed. This girl just can’t tell the truth or take responsibility for anything. Of course when you’ve been brought up by parents who tell you everything you do is great I guess you can’t expect much.

    Who knows who is telling tall tales. I think once the 911 tapes are released there will be more information as to what happened at the scene of the accident. If there are witnesses as this man claims there is, then they should be coming out of the woodwork now to reveal what actually took place. Right now I can’t blame anyone until the investigation is over and know more. However it is most likely her fault because she collided with him. As far as she had nothing in her system, as many of you have said, she needs a driver, many celebrities have them so they do not cause injury to others, jeez when will her team wake-up.

    From the pics it’s an open highway, with no stop signs/lights near where they crashed. The passenger side was heavily damaged. My guess the idiot (Lindsey) was probably 20mph faster than the truck, didn’t see how close the truck was getting (cops- check her text/tweet messages about that time) made a last second attempt to swerve to the left and slammed into the truck.

    It’s a brand new Porsche with carbon fiber brakes. The hell if they are going to fail.

    Lesson: Don’t believe anything this whore says…and sure as hell don’t ride with her.

    Who are any of you to judge her any way, what do you gain from all this if its her fault or not? Its really nothing to any of you… So why talk so bad about someone that you don’t really even know? From the way you people sound none of you are any better, have some respect.

    As many car accidents as this chick has had, I’m surprised she’s still alive. She’s like a freakin cat–8 lives…although, now that I think about it, she’s had more than 8 close calls…damn! She never dies!!!

    Everyone who is commenting about her badly you dont really know what happened! Only she and the truck driver really knows and anyone who was around. You guys need to cut her some slack shes finally Clean and trying to get back into the movie industry and trying to fix her life but everyone is so judgemental and harsh it makes me sick. Shes talented and isnt always High or drunk so with the person saying she needs a wake up call about her benig intoxicated and everyone blaming her yes it might have been her fault BUT ITS CALLED A ACCIDENT!! for a reason. that doesnt mean she was texting,tweeting ,drunk or going to fast it just means it was an accident and its Life it always happens. But everyone is so fast to jump down her throat and claim she is a horrible drug addicted loser. She isnt geez! Even if it was her fault its her thing to deal with in private without these false tabloids telling crap. JUST leave her alone and let her get help, and clean up ,How about they write a new story about the famous for no reason kim kardashion!

    I think TMZ and other tabs are blowing this way out of proportion. I also think Lindsay needs to give up the lime light. One toe out of line and its off with her head! That’s just not normal and very unhealthy for her. She should retire, on her terms.
