CBS Duped By Michael Lohan; Lindsay is NOT Doing “Top Ten”

Lindsay Lohan was slated to present the Top Ten list on Thursday’s “The Late Show with David Letterman,” according to the show’s head writer Justin Stangel.

Stangel even tweeted, “BREAKING @LindsayLohan will be presenting the Top Ten List on Thursday’s @Late_Show #Letterman.”

And a source close to the show confirmed to Gossip Cop that the actress would be on a satellite feed from Los Angeles for the comedic countdown.

But Lohan herself tells us she “never” said she was going to do the Top Ten.

So here’s what happened, according to a spokesman for the show: “Lindsay Lohan will not be delivering a Top Ten list on Thursday’s LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, as had been previously announced. We made a mistake. Someone purporting to be a friend of Lindsay’s reached out to the show yesterday, allegedly on her behalf, and booked her to appear. Clearly, this person was not authorized to make commitments on her behalf.”

“We wish Lindsay well, and look forward to having her on the show in the future,” the statement added.

It has since been revealed that Michael Lohan was behind the unauthorized booking.

    Ive been seeing that her dad is claiming hes the one who booked her on Letterman, with Lindsays blessing. I am really curious to see if she backs him up. Hes saying that the 2 of them were working it out but once her people found out about the plan, they shut it down. I dont know, i have a feeing shes going to say he did this on his own and she had nothing to do with it. Didn’t Michael Lohan say a few months ago that he was done speaking about his daughter in the media?
