Lindsay Lohan and Tina Fey Have Surprise Mean Girls Reunion in New York – PHOTO!
Lohan, who vacationed this summer in Europe, was thrilled to see her former co-star while temporarily back in the U.S. The actress took to Instagram to share the snapshot, along with the caption, “Lovely running into an inspiring, funny, beautiful old friend!!!! #tinafey.”
While the post suggested the two accidentally crossed paths, the stars were actually together to do a photoshoot for Entertainment Weekly’s annual “reunions” issue, which will be released in the fall.
Lohan will soon be heading back to England to begin rehearsals for the revival of David Mamet’s Speed-the-plow, which begins with previews on September 24 at the London’s Playhouse Theatre.
“Mean Girls” remains a favorite among fans since its 2004 release. The comedy starred other actress that, like Lohan, have become huge names, such as Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lizzy Caplan. Fey’s pal and frequent collaborator Amy Poehler also starred.
As sequel rumors have swirled for years, Fey said last year she was exploring the possibility of adapting the movie into a full-scale musical.
