Lindsay Lohan Lands Elizabeth Taylor Movie Role

Lindsay Lohan has landed the role of screen legend Elizabeth Taylor.

After weeks of rumors, the actress has scored the part in the Lifetime Original Movie about the enduring love of Taylor and Richard Burton, whose stormy relationship led them to marry and divorce each other twice.

The casting is a big deal for Lohan, who hasn’t appeared in a movie since 2010.

However, Lifetime is demanding that she fulfill all of her probation requirements before production begins in March.

She’s set to host the March 3 “Saturday Night Live.”

    Don’t forget this is a Lifetime movie. You know, that channel no one watches. Reese Witherspoon wouldn’t be caught dead in a Lifetime movie. It’s good for Lindsay only cause she can’t get any other jobs. In a good career, this would be a shitty part.

    I’m under the impression that she is playing a “young” liz taylor. So… is this the starring role? Liz was in her 30s when she was with burton. Even though lohan looks wayyyyyyy older than her years, i don’t think that’s a good thing for this role.

    @Ariana – One of Reese Witherspoon’s movies (I forgot which) is in fact in the Lifetime Network.

    I hope that with this role she can truly redeem herself.

    It is nice to see that she is being given the chance to try and restart her career, I hope she does very well and would love to see her be able to tell all the hateful people bashing her to kiss her ass which, by the way, they wouldn’t make a pimple on.

    Reese witherspoon’s first movie was a lifetime movie, she looks very much alive to me. Lifetime movie or not, the role of Liz is an honor to be played by ANYONE. If Lindsay plays her cards right, roasted herself on SNL, gives an Oscar worthy performance in this film and keeps her nose clean, I think she could make a huge comeback. Lifetime is notorious for jumpstarting careers.

    Kelly Monaco from General Hospital would be perfect for this part. She has the look and talent. Liz was part of the General Hospital family. I think Liz would approve.
