Did Being A Celebrity Hurt Lindsay Lohan?

poll

(GettyImages.com)

Lindsay Lohan was stunned yesterday when Judge Marsha Revel sentenced her to 90 days in a county jail, plus another 90 days of in-patient rehab.

What’s interesting is that the deputy district attorney, who had accused Lohan of violating her probation, had asked for just 30 days in jail.

Instead, the judge ordered Lohan to serve an additional 60 days, plus rehab, making a total of 180 days that Lohan won’t be able to work and otherwise carry on with her life.

I don’t know what to say about this. I feel that she was trying. I hope that the judge wasn’t influenced by the tabs and pap pics. I don’t trust them. I was hoping that she would get it together before this. People on drugs have a hard time shaking those people out there who are influencing them … like their dealer for instance. I don’t know about this one.

I trust Lindsay and I feel that she should have been let completely go here. No SCRAM, no mandatory nothing. But even given the verdict tripling the requested sentence is way, way over the top and shows the judge having a serious problem handling celebrities.

The fact is – there’s ZERO evidence of any drug use since the car crash that started all this. No alcohol either. There’s thousands of paparazzi pics from hundreds of parties and nowhere do we see Lindsay drinking anything but sodas and energy drinks. What we do have is several setups where paps have had people put drugs in Lindsay’s drinks (to create ‘drunk’ pictures), thrown powdered sugar on her (to create ‘cocaine’ pics), trip her leaving a night club so to get pics of her ‘drunk off her feet’ and so on. I’ve seen pics in magazines showing her drunk-looking but later found more pics from the same set and all except the one they used in the magazine show a completely normal (sometimes tired-looking) Lindsay. We’ve all snapped pics of people blinking and it’s easy to make that look like people are drunk (dazed look due to semi-closed eyes etc.). There was even a bounty on getting pics showing Lindsay drinking or using drugs and that made greedy ruthless people do bad things.

Lindsay got what she deserved, she may have gotten 90 days because she will only be in for 25% of her sentence which is like 25 days or so, if she was sentenced 30 days she would only serve a week or so.

She lives a movie star life, when was the last movie she made? Put your freaking big girl shoes on and face the music, everybody has to be responsible for their actions. That’s real life

Lindsay is a train wreck waiting to happen. I hope for her sake that someday she will thank the judge for saving her life. She needs a serious wake up call. Her parents are just as much to blame as she is. I wish the judge could of sentenced them also. It’s obvious they have been riding the good life on her coattails for so long that they have totally forgotten who the parent is. Granted the girl is of legal age at this point, but where were they when she needed guidance?

I do feel sorry for her. This is going to be a tough lesson. She has been given ample opportunities to get herself together. She is (was) a very talented actress and could be again if she gets off the pity trip she is on and gets herself well. Otherwise, I’m afraid she will be just another headline and then forgotten.

Lohan wont even spend 20 days in jail. You wait and see. Plus remember Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie & Lohan’s last stint in jail vs their sentences? Not even close!

Absolutely the judge was harder on her! The judge knew that if she let her off (which might have happened for a regular person) everyone would be saying that she got treated better because of who she is. The judge definitely made an example out of her. I think that the proceedings were a waste of time. I think that for the most part, the judge knew that she was going to give LiLo jail time.

This is the first time she was slightly treated any a “regular” person. All of us “regular joe or jane’s” would have been in jail/prison for the chase and coke found on her in ’07. Lindsay is a manipulative, lying, selfish b!tch!

    pookie8: Your right on!

Everyone seems to be forgetting that she got off pretty easy for other things that the rest of us would still be in jail for. She kidnapped 3 people in their own vehicle (grand theft auto as well as kidnapping), and went on a high speed chase while being coked up and drunk (DUI, wreckless, and possession of a illegal substance). During this wild ride, she not only ran over one persons foot(vehicular assault), she put countless other lives in danger. Lets stop the unfairness in regards to our legal system, every person should be held to the same level of accountability as everyone else. Hollywood or not!

The district attornety wanted 30 days in jail & LL attorney only feared more test and more SCRAM.
But the brutal Judge sentenced with:
    -30 days for DUI
    -30 days for reckless driving
-30 days for fail the probation
    -90 days on rehab
-1 year of random drug test

    SIMPLY BRUTAL
