Lindsay Lohan Checked Into Jail… and Was Released Hours Later

Lindsay Lohan has served her jail time.

The actress, who was sentenced on Wednesday to 30 more days in jail for violating her probation, checked into Lynwood’s Century Regional Detention Facility at 8:48 p.m. PST, and was released about four and a half hours later, due to jail overcrowding.

Lohan was thrown in jail (albeit briefly) for failing to attend several court-mandated therapy sessions and for being kicked out of her community service program at the Downtown Women’s Center for missing nine scheduled appointments.

Lohan is to return to court on December 14.

Judge Stephanie Sautner set out a strict schedule of how much community service and psychotherapy Lohan must complete month by month before March 29.

“You need a structure, this is a structure,” Judge Sautner told Lohan.

If Lohan complies will all the new conditions, she’ll be home free, and “We won’t have to see each other again,” said the judge.

If not, she’s staring at a much longer sentence — possibly 270 days behind bars.

    All this mess is showing anyone is that if you are a celebrity you can pretty much do whatever you want. If it was anyone else they would serve their time, even if overcrowded. She is not learning anything except that she can do whatever she wants to and get away with it!!!

    This whole runaround is older than the Palermo Stone. The only route I see for this chick is death from overdosing. The jail was overcrowded? SEND HER TO ANOTHER ONE. She’s never going to learn unless these people actually stick with her punishment. She should have gotten four years for that stolen necklace ALONE. Unbelievable.

    hay i want to move hollywood.you can get away with any think there if you are a move star.this is not right. she need to do her time like the judge say. this make funny of the law in hollywood. any one else would had to do there time.the star more right then we do.

    LiLo hasn’t been an actual movie star in a long time and that’s how hollywood has always been. stars get a slap on the wrist for things normal people would serve a lot longer jail time for.

    This is ridiculous. How do they expect her to get the help she needs if she just goes through the same process over & over again? Someone needs to change what the crap her “punishment” is & make her pay for the stuff she’s done.

    Lindsay needs to go to trial outside of CA. As long as she goes to trial in CA or NYC, she will be released because she helps the tabloids keep their pockets full of money. They will always see to it that she doesn’t serve.
