Lindsay Lohan Awarded “Comeback” Award At Ischia Film Festival
While people were focused on Lindsay Lohan falling on the ground on Italy on Monday, they totally missed that the actress had received an award from director Paul Haggis at the Ischia Global Fest.
Lohan was handed the “Biggest Comeback” trophy from the Oscar winner, who said in an emotional and heartfelt speech that he looked forward to working with her down the road.
Also at the festival, Jessica Chastain was overheard telling Lohan that she would love to play her sister in a film.
Before doing more movies, though, Lohan will star in a London theatrical production of “Speed The Plow.”
As Gossip Cop exclusively reported, despite a number of inaccurate and mean-spirited claims on the web, Lohan has not missed a rehearsal for the show — because they don’t start until the end of August.
We just wish the media would sometimes care less about people falling down, and support them more as they get back up again. No doubt Lohan has made herself an easy target over the years. But as she’s currently proving, there’s more to her than just troubled behavior. Responsible outlets don’t just focus on the bad.
Gossip Cop is siding with Haggis, and feeling a big comeback for Lohan.
