Lindsay Lohan Has NOT Converted To Islam, Despite Reports
Lindsay Lohan has NOT converted to Islam, despite a fake news report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s not true.
According to a fake news story that’s been spread by Yahoo, Lohan deleted all her Instagram posts and simply left a message that read, “Alaikum salam,” which is Arabic for “Peace be unto you.” The web giant contends that action may be an indication “that she may have already converted to Islam.” It further notes, “Due to the greeting, many are speculating that the 30-year-old actress has switched to Islam. It’s also worth noting that she previously shared with her fans that she’s excited for the next chapter in her life.”
“Many Muslims from all over the world are sending their congratulations to the former Disney child star via social media. Most of them are also asking Allah to guide Lohan in her journey with the religion,” reads Yahoo’s article. Additionally, the content company points out that she was once photographed carrying a Quran and has expressed interest in Islam.
Lohan is simply taking a break from social media, her mother Dina confirms to Gossip Cop. And while the message she left on her Instagram account is Arabic, and presumably some Muslims have sent their congratulations, the actress has not switched faiths.
Additionally, it’s true Lohan has tried to educate herself more about other religions, but she has not become a Muslim. A rep for Lohan confirms exclusively to Gossip Cop, “She has not converted [to Islam].”
