Lindsay Lohan Escapes Felony Charge But Found in Violation of Probation

Lindsay Lohan‘s felony charge has been dropped to a misdemeanor.

Judge Stephanie Sautner just accepted lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley‘s request to downgrade Lohan’s felony grand theft charge for allegedly swiping a $2,500 necklace to a misdemeanor in today’s critical preliminary hearing.

The judge told the court, “I’m going to give her an opportunity.”

However, Sautner rejected Holley’s bid to have the case thrown out entirely, and found Lohan violated her probation.

If convicted of the misdemeanor, Lohan could spend up to a year in jail.

Lohan is due back in court on May 11 for a pretrial hearing.

    Yes, she was innocent of stealing the necklace, but she is guilty of being Lindsay Lohan and therefore she must be punished…

    It seems most LA judges are fame-whoring to a severe degree.

    I wonder if Lindsey’s Lawyer (s) will appeal the judge’s ruling. Like any decent attorney if there is any reasonable dubt they should do so. As for swiping a necklace from a felony to a misdemeanor I mean, com on now. Grand Theft by legal definition is an item costing or is worth over $1000.00. If she truly stole that necklace that’s a felony. I think being famous sure includes some nifty perks.
