CLAIM: Lindsay Lohan to Appear on UK’s “Celebrity Big Brother”

Lindsay Lohan will be “stepping inside the Celebrity Big Brother house,” reports the Daily Mail.

According to the British tab, producers of the U.K. version of the show “have already flown to LA for business meetings” with Lohan, who is “close to signing on the dotted line.”

The paper goes on to claim, “Crew members have already started shooting background footage of her in preparation for the next series in January.”

What’s more, says the Daily Mail, “Television bosses will persuade the courts to let Lohan to come to the UK by claiming the show will help to clean up her act.

“We hope that the courts will make a special allowance in this case,” says a so-called “insider,” adding, “There aren’t many more controlled environments than the Big Brother house.”

Besides the fact that the U.S. courts don’t give a darn about British TV producers who are trying to boost their entertainment shows’ ratings, the story is completely bogus.

When Gossip Cop asked Lohan whether she was in negotiations to appear on “Celebrity Big Brother,” she told us exclusively “no”

If this rumor sounds vaguely familiar, there’s good reason.

More than two years ago, Gossip Cop busted a strikingly similar story that emanated from a British tab, which said Lohan was in talks to appear on “Celebrity Big Brother.”

Hmm…

We have a feeling we’ll be correcting this same story again… in 2013.
