Lindsay Lohan is not “broke again,” despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct the claim. A rep exclusively tells us the story is false.

According the new issue of Star, which hit newsstands on Wednesday, “the unemployed actress is spending like she’s on the A-list, and it’s finally caught up with her.” A so-called source is quoted as saying, “She blows through money and then relies on her wealthy business ‘acquaintances’ to bail her out, but she’s out of favors.”

The magazine goes on to allege, “While Lindsay did earn a meager salary for a play she did in London, she had to pawn $14,000 worth of designer clothing just to get to England and get an apartment! But even that didn’t make a dent in her debts.” Now, it’s claimed, “LiLo is so desperate she’s offering herself for appearances at weddings and Bar Mitzvahs.”

“She owes over $100,000 to credit card companies and $10,000 to her sister, plus tons of legal bills,” explains the supposed snitch. “Lindsay blames everyone, especially her mom, for leeching off her, but just like with all her other problems, it’s entirely her fault.”

There’s no denying Lohan has had her share of issues, but don’t expect her to go popping up in strangers’ party photos anytime soon. A rep for the actress exclusively assures Gossip Cop that these “broke” allegations are “NOT true.” It’s also worth noting that Star seems stuck on presenting Lohan as some pathetic damsel in distress, after a story in 2014 wrongly said she was looking for a “sugar daddy” and a report in 2015 falsely claimed she begged an Uber driver to hang out with her.
