Lindsay Lohan Praises Ariana Grande While Shading Jennifer Lawrence
As Gossip Cop reported, Grande pulled double duty as the host and musical guest of this past weekend’s “Saturday Night Live,” during which she impersonated Lawrence for a “Celebrity Family Feud” sketch. On Monday, Lohan posted a photo of Grande in character as Lawrence, along with the caption, “Wow – wanna make a movie together? You were fantastic. Hard show to do, you were great. Congrats.” She then directed the message to her sister Ali, and asked, “Don’t you agree?”
While that might not seem like a dig at Lawrence at first glance, the two actresses have a past history that could indicate otherwise. As Gossip Cop reported, Lawrence slammed Lohan during an interview on the “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” last December, joking that she sometimes suffers “Lindsay Lohan grade exhaustion, but without any drugs or alcohol.” Lohan’s sister, Ali, hit back at the time at Lawrence, writing on Twitter, “I never breathe life into negativity but I stand by my family. Disappointed in Jennifer Lawrence. You lost a fan.”
Lohan later retweeted her younger sibling’s comment, along with the response, “Thank you sister.. Maybe who you’re referring to should learn to support others like [Maya Angelou].” Considering the bad blood between Lohan and Lawrence, and the fact that Lohan deleted her initial Instagram post, it’s very likely that she intended to slam Lawrence before deciding to take it down.
