Johnny Depp’s Daughter Lily-Rose Believes Dad “Ruined” Her Movie Career?
Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, does NOT believe her dad’s divorce drama has “ruined” her chance at a movie career, despite a ridiculous tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
The actor has of course been hit with a ton of negative press lately over his tumultuous split from Amber Heard, who’s accusing him of domestic abuse. In the meantime, Lily-Rose made her big-screen debut this month in Kevin Smith’s new comedy, Yoga Hosers, which also features her dad in a supporting role. But now according to Star, the young actress is furious her dad’s scandal is overshadowing the movie.
“Lily has been waiting all year for this moment, and now it’s been completely ruined,” says the outlet’s so-called source. “She essentially can’t do any press for the movie, and it’s all her dad’s fault.” The magazine’s dubious insider adds, “She’s hurt, angry and just beyond embarrassed.” But Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us the tabloid’s story is simply “not true.” We’re told Lily-Rose is both proud and excited about her new movie, and her dad’s personal life hasn’t gotten in the way of that.
In fact, Lily-Rose supported Johnny following Heard’s abuse allegations back in May. As Gossip Cop reported at the time, she refuted the claims her father ever displayed violent behavior, writing in an Instagram post, “My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know. He’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same.”
