Lilli Passero, Lauryn Judd “The Voice” Battle Video: Watch “Every Little Bit Hurts” Performance
Lilli Passero and Lauryn Judd had a standout Battle face-off during Tuesday’s “The Voice.” Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Passero sang “A Love Of My Own” for her Blind Audition, with Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton all turning around. Judd auditioned with “Girls Just Want To Have Fun,” and the same three coaches hit their buttons. Both aspiring stars chose to join Team Alicia.
Though Passero is 26 and Judd is only 17, their coach saw enough similarities to pair them up for the second round of the NBC competition. Keys assigned them “Every Little Bit Hurts” for their joint performance, and they were aided in rehearsals by guest adviser DJ Khaled. He encouraged the artists to “convey the vocals” and the emotional lyrics, while Keys was concerned about their breathing.
After working out the arrangement, Passero and Judd gave a powerful performance for the panel. Gwen Stefani praised Judd’s “signature sound” and called Passero “mesmerizing,” ultimately giving her vote to the latter. Adam Levine was impressed that Judd had “equal ability” given her age, but said it was “too impossible” not to pick her “seasoned” competitor. Blake Shelton also thought Passero “sang the crap out of it” and called her a “star.”
It was little surprise, then, when Keys picked Passero as the winner. Unfortunately, that meant Judd’s run on the show was over. Check out the video below.
