Lil Wayne Accused Of Punching Bouncer At BET Awards After Party
Lil Wayne has been accused of assaulting a bouncer on Sunday at Hyde Nightclub in Los Angeles at a BET Awards after-party. The doorman claims the rapper punched him in the face after denying entry to members of his entourage.
Wayne and 2 Chainz were throwing the party where the altercation took place, but despite the rapper being the host of the festivities, the club employee reportedly turned away several of Wayne’s friends at the door. After allegedly getting hit, the unidentified man went to the hospital, where he was reportedly treated for minor injuries. He later filed a battery report against the rapper with the LAPD.
Wayne, however, is denying he assaulted the bouncer, and is providing a different account of events altogether. According to TMZ, the rapper admits to there being a minor scuffle in the VIP section of the club after the bouncer accidentally grabbed his arm, having not known who he was. But the rapper maintains he never punched the employee. The authorities are currently investigating the matter. Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for Wayne for additional details.
As Gossip Cop has reported, this isn’t the first time that Wayne has been involved in a nightclub altercation. Wayne’s longtime rival, rapper Birdman, threw a drink at Weezy while he was performing onstage at LIV nightclub in Miami in July 2015.
