Lil Wayne Promotes Weed Finding App On 4/20 By Releasing ‘Hollyweezy’ Music Video
Lil Wayne released a new music video for his song “Hollyweezy” on 4/20, a holiday celebrated by those who partake in the pot culture. Lil Wayne’s video first premiered on the site of the pot-finding app Weedmaps. See the video of “Hollyweezy” below.
“Hollyweezy” starts off with Lil Wayne lighting up a big blunt. Most of the rest of the video features the rapper, in front of an old-school red Cadillac, singing about his neighborhood of Hollygrove in New Orleans and comparing it to life in Hollywood. He continues toking up throughout the video.
Keeping in the theme of 4/20, the video for “Hollyweezy” was launched on Weedmaps at 4:20 p.m. EST, and will be up on the app’s site for four hours and 20 minutes. Weedmaps’ CEO Justin Hartfield said in a statement: “Weedmaps is proud to partner with a legendary rapper like Lil Wayne.” He added, ” Throughout his career, Lil Wayne has been a champion of marijuana culture. Not only does Lil Wayne freely admit marijuana helps his creative process, he is also a longtime advocate of marijuana legalization.”
