Lil Kim Releases Notorious B.I.G. Tribute Song On Rapper’s Death Anniversary – LISTEN!
Kim teamed up with Manio for the song titled, “Did It for Brooklyn,” which they dropped on Wednesday. She also posted several photos to Instagram, honoring her mentor and one-time boyfriend. “Today We Celebrating,” she captioned a drawing of the late rapper, who was fatally shot on March 9, 1997 in a case that remains unsolved.
Kim is also slated to perform at a Biggie Smalls tribute concert on Wednesday night in New York City. She first teamed up with Biggie in 1995 when she joined his Junior Mafia Crew. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kim about her past relationship with the late rapper. “He became my friend, my lover, my everything,” she told the magazine. “I was his biggest fan.”
Diddy also remembered his late friend and collaborator on Instagram. In addition to sharing multiple photos of the rapper, he wrote, “Miss you… The game ain’t been the same since! Miss you bra!” Diddy also referred to Biggie as “THE GREATEST.” The rapper’s widow, Faith Evans, paid tribute as well to Biggie on social media, writing on Instagram, “We’ll always love Big Poppa!” Listen to Kim’s tribute song below.
