Liam Payne Urges One Direction Fans Not To Buy Scalped Tickets For UK Shows
Liam Payne is urging One Direction fans not to purchase scalped tickets to the band’s “On The Road Again” U.K. shows. The singer is outraged that ticket scalpers are taking advantage of concertgoers, and has offered an alternative way to score seats.
One Direction kicks off the U.K. leg of its “On The Road Again” tour later this month. Payne tweeted on Tuesday, “Outrageous that tickets for our UK shows are trading at hundreds of [British pounds] on some sites. Please don’t use them!” Payne took the opportunity to give fans another option for how to attend their concerts, which are currently sold out. “Instead we’ve made plenty of extra great seats available on the Twickets app for every night at face value prices,” wrote the pop star.
Twickets is a fan-to-fan ticket exchange app where the price is never more than the original face value. The good thing is if people have tickets to sell, buyers have an opportunity to get seats without overpaying for admission. One of the downsides of the app, however, is that it’s unpredictable as to how many seats people are willing to sell.
