Liam Payne, Cheryl Cole NOT Fighting Over Baby Name, Despite Report
Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole are not “fighting over the name of their baby,” despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the inaccurate speculation. We’re told it’s “completely untrue.”
As we previously reported, over the weekend Payne announced Cole gave birth to their baby boy. Now, the often inaccurate HollywoodLife alleges Payne and Cole are “fighting already, just two days after welcoming their baby boy into the world.” The often disproven site claims the supposed source of contention is that they have “very different ideas for the baby’s moniker.”
In reality, the lazy webloid picked up a report from J-14, which in turn reported Cole told GQ (before she and Payne began dating) that she “thought about baby names a million times. I like Alfie for a little boy.” Meanwhile, the site notes Payne was quoted (prior to hooking up with Cole) as saying, “I like the name Taylor… That’s what I’m going to call my first child if I had children.”
To reiterate, the baby name remarks were made before Cole and Payne got together. Regardless of how HollywoodLies, as it’s known, takes kernels of truth and turns them into falsehoods, Gossip Cop still checked in with an insider close to the situation, and we’re 100 percent assured the couple is not “fighting over the name of their baby.” Our impeccable source tells us the claim is “completely untrue.”
Sadly, Gossip Cop is not surprised the webloid got this wrong. It’s the same unreliable site that reported a year ago that Payne and Cole split up. Much like that article, the current one about them fighting over their baby boy’s name is also inaccurate.
