Liam Neeson is not dating Kristen Stewart, despite speculation. Gossip Cop can exclusively put this rumor to rest. We’re told Neeson is not taken by Stewart, and that the claim is “stupid.”

Picking up on a report that was first floated by Jezebel, the Mirror notes that while Neeson recently admitted he’s dating someone “incredibly famous,” he hasn’t revealed specifically who that leading lady is, leading to tremendous speculation. The British tabloid writes, “The latest name thrown into the hat is a surprising one – Twilight actress Kristen Stewart, 25.” Surprising indeed.

Admitting that it took its story from Jezebel, which had the good sense to acknowledge its guess of Neeson’s new girlfriend was based on “almost nothing,” the paper regurgitates that a photo search for the celebrity hangout Tao in New York showed both Neeson and Stewart were at the restaurant on January 5. Of course, there were no photos of the two together or even leaked items about them sharing a meal at Tao.

Quoting Jezebel, the Mirror reports, “Is this unexpected? Sure! But does it make sense given the evidence? Sure! Stewart is both incredibly famous and eligible.” The British tabloid then fills out its article about how Neeson’s wife Natasha Richardson died unexpectedly after suffering a head injury while skiing in Quebec in 2009.

Gossip Cop will cut to the chase. Neeson and Stewart are 100 percent not dating, and the Mirror should not have repeated the rumor, which even Jezebel distanced itself from. But because it published the speculation and was picked up by additional outlets, Gossip Cop looked into the rumor nonetheless. Neeson’s rep exclusively assures us that talk about the Irish actor and Stewart dating is “stupid.”
