Leonardo DiCaprio Kisses Maggie Smith For BAFTAS Kiss Cam (VIDEO)
Leonardo DiCaprio kissed Maggie Smith at the 2016 BAFTAs in London on Sunday after host Stephen Fry introduced an audience kiss cam, which forced two random celebrities to smooch. Watch the funny segment from the 69th annual BAFTA Awards below!
During the awards ceremony, which is the British equivalent of the Oscars, Fry noted that it was Valentine’s Day and so he wanted to spread some love around the room. The host presented the kiss cam, commonly used at sporting events, and announced, “So which two lovebirds will our Valentine heart embrace?” First up were Cuba Gooding Jr. and Stanley Tucci, who were more than happy to show admiration for each other with a kiss.
DiCaprio and Smith were caught on camera next, and so the handsome movie star planted a big kiss on the actress’s cheek, much to her delight. “Now that’s a marriage made in heaven if ever there were one,” Fry joked from the stage. After being chosen, Bryan Cranston and Julianne Moore pretended to make-out, but the next two celebrities selected, Eddie Izzard and Rebel Wilson, made out for real with full-on tongue.
Not only did DiCaprio get to kiss Smith, but as Gossip Cop reported earlier, he won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor, while his movie The Revenant, took home the statue for Best Film. Watch celebrities smooch in the funny kiss cam segment from the BAFTAs!
