Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly set to play legendary FBI honcho J. Edgar Hoover for director Clint Eastwood.

Rumors that DiCaprio was in the running for the role of the controversial lawman floated around for months; now it looks like it’s a done deal, reports Deadline.com.

Production is expected to begin later this year.

Dustin Lance Black, the Oscar-winning screenwriter behind Milk, penned the script.

It would be DiCaprio’s first film with Eastwood.
