Lenny Kravitz To Join Katy Perry For Super Bowl Halftime Show (VIDEO)
Katy Perry revealed on Saturday that Lenny Kravitz will join her for the Super Bowl Halftime Show next month. The announcement was made at halftime of the AFC Divisional Playoffs clash between the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots.
In announcing that she was picking Kravitz as a “special guest” for the show, Perry called him a “rock & roll icon” and “guitar god.” See the video below. Initial Twitter reaction to the Kravitz announcement seemed mixed. There were also the requisite “wardrobe malfunction” jokes, referring to the infamous pairing of Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake a decade ago. Do you like the choice of Kravitz as Perry’s special guest?
Perry’s long-rumored booking as the Super Bowl Halftime Show headliner was confirmed back in November during an NBC telecast of “Sunday Night Football.” She joins the ranks of past Super Bowl performers, including Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and U2. The Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show at University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona will air on NBC on February 1. Are you looking forward to it?
