Well you know, that’s a good question. Maybe she does and maybe she ‘started it.’. I raised my son to run and hide if a girl/woman ever said to him, “you think you are a big man’ go ahead and hit me”. Well, let me say this to you. Anyone who works in police department or personal protection will tell you one thing. If someone is able to let his feelings loose and beat up another person is an issue and will alway be. There is a difference between temper and temper. People who can have a temper issues demonstrating them with arguing, raising voices, or mental break-down. That could also signalise deeper inner issue that should be addressed. Once person is enable control his temper and that goes physical, it’s a clear sign that the person it’s a suspect of aggressive personality that means he feels right about getting physical and actually don’t feel any remorse, as he would do that again, anytime. Any police officer giving a strict and straight advice to the victim to stay away from the attacker as far as possible. Once victim accepting the stacker back in
her life, she is giving him even more justification to his action. Something like: woman likes to be beaten as she likes a lord( leader) in her house, she knows she had deserve that, she accepting to be under masters rule.
Process of rehabilitation is very complex and taking years to be successful. So for any woman who has been abused to getting back with her attacker is clear sign that she is weak and he got too much control over her, or she simply likes that. The last statement is very rare, as we often see woman making this choice as they are in difficult financial situation or they are under certain threat created by abuser.
Rihanna however, made her mind voluntarily. As it seems.
Yes, we don’t know what future holds. We don’t know if our sisters and brothers will not become abusers one day too.
And I see we can certainly rationalise any crap and make it a holy piece out of it.
