Lena Dunham Demanded Private Jet From HBO Because ‘First Class Not Good Enough’?
Lena Dunham did NOT demand that HBO book her a private jet while traveling on a press tour for “Girls,” despite a ludicrous new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story. We’re told there’s “no truth” to it.
According to In Touch, Dunham’s “ego has reached new heights,” as she insisted that the network behind her hit show fly her private to Los Angeles where she was scheduled to do interviews. A so-called “HBO insider” tells the tabloid, “First class wasn’t good enough.”
The “source” goes on to say that executives reluctantly agreed, and shelled out $40,000 for transportation, but requested she share the plane with “Game of Thrones” actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, better known as Jaime Lannister. The dubious insider goes on to claim, “Lena wasn’t happy” about sharing the jet, “but she finally relented.”
Gossip Cop is told by a source close to the actress that nothing about this far-fetched story is the least bit true. Of course, we’re not surprised. Gossip Cop recently called out In Touch’s sister publication Life & Style for also going after Dunham. That tabloid alleged the HBO star got angry with Taylor Swift after the singer offered to give her a makeover, which was completely false.
Dunham is one of the most down-to-earth celebrities in show business, and the rumor that she would not only demand a private jet, but then flip out over having to share it, is completely ridiculous. Gossip Cop is exclusively told there’s “no truth” to the supposed flipping out and demanding a private jet.
