Lena Dunham Defends Her “Special-Needs” Dog Lamby After Bloody Biting Incident
Lena Dunham is defending her dog Lamby after people called for the pooch to be put down for biting her.
As Gossip Cop reported, the “Girls” creator shared a picture of bloody underwear on Twitter on Wednesday, revealing that her pet had bitten her butt.
Dunham tweeted about the incident with her trademark self-deprecating humor, but many followers took the issue quite seriously, leading to a “mess of tweets from and articles saying he should be put down or taken away.”
She issued a response on Thursday night, writing, “I cannot believe I am about to type the following series of tweets. Advance apologies.”
The actress went on to explain that the incident occurred after Lamby — a “special-needs rescue dog” was scared by a doorbell.
Dunham stressed that this was “under specific circumstances, in our own home,” and noted that the animal is “monitored closely” and is getting formal training.
“He’s never show aggression to anyone anywhere else but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t, so I’m vigilant,” she acknowledged.
