LeAnn Rimes Eddie Cibrian Show Canceled

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian’s reality series has been canceled after one season. VH1 confirmed on Tuesday that “LeAnn & Eddie” will not return with new episodes. No explanation was given, but the show did not excel in the ratings.

As Gossip Cop reported, the show was first announced in 2013, several months after we exclusively reported that the couple was shopping a project about their lives together. It didn’t end up premiering, however, until the summer of 2014. Before that, Cibrian battled with ex-wife Brandi Glanville on whether their two sons could be featured, and even joked on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that doing the project would “probably” be a mistake.

The series mostly focused on Rimes and Cibrian going about their everyday lives, which, of course, are ones where they are tabloid fixtures, and they used the show to dispel some rumors. Of course, the series also sparked more false claims, like the Life & Style allegation that wrongly said Cibrian was “humiliated” by Rimes’ onscreen antics.

Ultimately, the first season only included six episodes. The series’ cancellation was widely rumored in recent weeks, and Glanville even said at one point that the show was kaput. Gossip Cop has reached out to reps for Cibrian and Rimes for comment. Did you watch “LeAnn & Eddie”?
